Blue Don Football and Soccer Squads Earn Saturday Victories
It was a great day for the Blue Dons on the athletic fields on Saturday as the football team opened the season with a victory over Valley 42-13, while the Blue Don girls soccer team defeated Tyler Consolidated 3-1. The Blue Don football squad fell behind 7-0 early in the first, but responded with an offensive explosion scoring the next 42 points. Connor Arlia had two touchdowns, while Clay Rokisky, Chris Eloi and Nick Ossman also contributed scores. The Blue Dons will travel to Paden City next week in the second game of their state title defense.

The soccer team got goals from three different starters as Isabella Anile, Lisa Parkins and Christina Conforti all netted goals for the Blue Dons. Amy Davis was once again solid in net, as the team donned face paint in a sign of unity! The Blue Dons are at home on Monday to take on Wheeling Central at 5:30 pm.

Congratulations to both teams!
