The Madonna class of 1974 held it's 35th class reunion the weekend of July 10-12,
2009. An icebreaker was held at the Holiday Inn on Friday night and the class held a
dinner/dance on Saturday at Williams Country Club with 30 of the class in
attendance. Classmates from 8 states attended. A memorial service was held for the 5
class members who have gone to greater rewards. Mel Coleman and his lovely wife
attended the event and kept those in attendance laughing all night with stories of
his memories of the class. The Class of 1974 ended the weekend by attending mass at
St. Joseph the Worker with Father Dean giving those in attendance a special
blessing.

On January 30th, Mr. Dan McCune announced the formation of the Blue and Silver Society at the 2nd Annual Dinner/Auction. The purpose of the "society" is to enable Madonna High School to create a fund that would allow the school to receive small percentages of the fund over the course of time, thus creating financial stability for the school for years to come. The goal of the organization is to gain the commitment of at least 100 alumni and/or friends of Madonna who would each commit $1000 to generate an initial balance of $100,000. The account will be resticted in its uses, and the amount of the principle that may be used in one year will be limited. Likewise, the remaining amount would be invested in secure, low risk investments to allow the balance to accumulate reasonable interest. The organization would have a Board of Directors that would be required to approve any spending from the account. Included in this organization, Madonna is looking to establish a speaker series that would bring in one nationally-known speaker each year. Part of the Blue and Silver society's account would help in funding this. If you are interested in joining, please contact Dan McCune at 723-1400 (work), or 797-7262 (home), or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
