The Alumni Newsletter for April is now available on line under the Alumni - Alumni Newsletter.
The Alumni newletter has been created and written by students in the Journalism Class of Ms. Lauren Parsons. They include from left to right Serra Alongi, Domonic Clements, Hannah Enos, and Ms. Parsons.
Serra Alongi, a senior at Madonna High School, is the daughter of Joseph and Cindy Alongi. Of Weirton, WV. She is also the sister of Casey Richards. Serra is a member of St. Joseph the Worker parish in Weirton. She is a member of The National Honor Society and a a four-year member of the softball team. Serra is the president of the Interact Club, the Vice President of the Pep Club, and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). In addition, she is the editor of the school yearbook and publisher of the school newspaper. Serra also holds a part time job at Serra Manor retirement home where she is a Hospitality Aide. After high school she plans to attend Franciscan University of Steubenville to study Education and Theology and continue her softball career.
Dominic Clements, a junior at Madonna High School, is the son of Michael and Carolyn Clements of Bloomingdale, Ohio. He is also the brother to Francesca and Anthony. Dominic is a three year member of the tennis team. He is also a member of the Religion Club and the Drama Club. Dominic played Vince Fontaine in this year's school play "Grease". Dominic is undecided on a college but he plans to become an auto mechanic.
Hannah Enos, a junior at Madonna High School, is the daughter of Damon and Leigh Enos. She is also the sister of Hallie, Haidyn, Annie, and Emanuel. Hannah maintains a 3.7GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has been the secretary of the class of 2014 all three years of high school and is involved in the Interact Club. Outside of school, Hannah is involved in church activities. She also plays guitar.
Ms. Lauren Parsons is a third year teacher at Madonna. She currently teaches English 9, English 11, English 12, Creative Writing, and Journalism. Ms. Parsons graduated from Buckeye Local High School in 2002. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Specialized Studies for English, Communications, and History from The Ohio University. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Education.
